I spend quite a bit of time in front of the computer, and over the years I’ve stumbled upon a handful of blogs that ended up in my bookmark toolbar that I visit on a daily basis. I know it’s really easy to spend TOO much time online looking at useless content, but these sites are all great for ideas, inspiration, motivation, education, and of course…entertainment. I typically only spend a few minutes on each site, and if a post looks like something I may want to dig deeper into later I put it into a folder on my toolbar I have labeled “TEMP.”
Here are my top 10 favorite blogs in the order that I look at them ever day…
Random images and photo galleries of anything and everything including interesting artwork, travel destinations and nature, architecture, humor, and technology.
Ideas and inspiration for people who work in technology, run personal businesses, and seek to better themselves.
The personal blog of a guy about my age who lives outside the box. The similarities I see in myself and this guy are unreal—I often feel like I’m reading my own thoughts when I read his posts. When I started my personal blog, this is almost exactly what I pictured it to be like. He also happens to be the brother of another BMX photographer, Devon Hutchins.
The latest news in digital technology, computers, phones, social media, and business…
Author of the incredible book 4-Hour Work Week, Tim Ferriss is an extremely inspirational and motivational guy. A lot of his posts don’t particularly interest me, but the ones that do are great, and the ones that don’t still inspire me because I see a man following his dreams, making them reality, and marching to the beat of his own drum.
Random photo and image galleries along with information and tutorials for designers, bloggers, tech users, and people who are self-employeed or run businesses.
Top Design Magazine
Examples, inspiration, and ideas for graphic designers along with resources for people who work on, design, or develop Web sites.
The Big Picture
Amazing collections of photo journalistic images of current events.
My best friend is a professional flatland BMX rider and always has plenty going on. Even though I talk to him on a daily basis I like to keep up with what he posts on his blog, too.
